Johnson City Internal Medicine

At Johnson City Internal Medicine, our efforts are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare. Our compassionate family of physicians, nurse practitioners, hospitalists, and staff work hard to forge relationships with our patients through professional care, fairness, and trust. Your well-being is at the forefront of what we do, and we never forget that.

Founded in 1960, JCIM has become a regional leader in internal medicine through continued development of new and better ways to meet the needs of our patients. We are committed to the advancement of healthcare. With an eye on national trends we can adapt for local use, we constantly look for new treatment options and technologies to deliver better service.

We are affiliated with all Mountain States Health Alliance facilities including Johnson City Medical Center, Franklin Woods Hospital, and Quillen Rehabilitation Hospital. Through our electronic medical records, your patient information is immediately available in emergency situations at these locations and during regular office visits.

Johnson City Internal Medicine is home to staff pharmacists who specialize in diabetes treatment. This quality initiative is spearheaded by JCIM – one of only a few practices nationwide to put this concept into action. This is especially helpful for more difficult cases – those who need labs every three months, are insulin controlled, require regular x-rays, and more.

Even though our practice has built a reputation on experience, we consistently strive for personal growth. Our medical team members go through continuing education and training to stay abreast of current treatments and knowledge. Many of our physicians serve as attending instructors for students from the Quillen College of Medicine, and several have been involved in specialized research programs. Our staff pharmacists also teach community classes about diabetes.

Our passion for serving our community, however, goes beyond the walls of our offices. We participate in the American Heart Walk and Relay for Life as well as other regional health events. JCIM physicians and staff also share their expertise on medical outreach trips to serve the underprivileged in other countries, including remote areas of Mexico, Nicaragua, and Ecuador, among others. Serving our community is not just something we do – it is who we are. That only comes naturally.
