Screenings Annual Wellness Exam Recommended for overall health monitoring and to identify any potential issues early. Colorectal Cancer Start screening at age 45 (or 10 years earlier than an immediate family member diagnosis). Options include colonoscopy every 10 years, FIT (fecal immunochemical test) annually, or Cologuard (stool DNA) every 3 years. Breast Cancer (Women) Annual mammograms are recommended starting at age 40. Cervical Cancer (Women) Start at age 21, with screenings every 3 to 5 years. Prostate Cancer (Men) Discuss pros/cons of PSA testing with a provider starting around age 50 (age 40-45 for high-risk groups). Lung Cancer Annual low-dose CT scan for adults 50-80 years old with a 20-pack-year smoking history who currently smoke or quit within the last 15 years. Bone Density Osteoporosis screening for women generally at age 65. Vaccinations Influenza Annually. Best in September or October. Shingles 2 doses of Shingrix given 2-6 months apart for age 50+. Tdap/Td Booster every 10 years. Pneumococcal One-time dose of PCV21 (Capvaxive) or PCV 20 (Prevnar 20) for age 50+ (if not previously vaccinated). Revised March 2026
