Dr. Tara Shields is originally from Northeast Tennessee. She attended East Tennessee State University, where she focused on biology and pre-med studies as an undergraduate. She obtained her medical degree from the James H. Quillen College of Medicine and completed an Internal medicine residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. Dr. Shields is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and has a particular interest in preventative care. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and her dogs.
