Shannon “Tally” Nelms, FNP is a native to East Tennessee. She attended Milligan College and earned her BS in Nursing in 2014. Following her graduation from nursing school, she worked in Kingsport at the ICU step-down unit and eventually became the Associate Clinical Leader for the unit. She attended Lincoln Memorial University to receive her FNP in 2017 while working in nursing leadership on the ICU step-down unit. Since graduation from LMU, she has worked in cardiology and pain management, but really missed the acuity and interaction of being at the bedside of a patient. She joined the SoFHA team in 2019. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
