OB/GYN

I grew up in Abingdon, VA before moving to Lexington, KY where I attended Nursing School.  I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capella University with highest honors.  While in Lexington, I was awarded the opportunity to care for a variety of patients; including labor and delivery, postpartum, newborn couplet care, trauma, and internal medicine.  My experiences as both a mother and obstetric nurse sparked an inevitable desire to do more in this field.  My strong desire to practice being “with women”, the meaning behind the term midwife, inspired my attendance at Frontier Nursing University, where I graduated with honors with my Master of Science in Nursing, and I then became a Certified Nurse Midwife. As a midwife, I provide care to women through all stages and ages of life including women’s health, gynecology, pregnancy, delivery, postpartum care, breastfeeding, and more. My passion is to provide support, expert opinion, and centering the woman in her own healthcare decisions. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, painting, listening to music, and spending time with my husband and three children. As a family, we participate in many sports such as baseball, softball, basketball, football, gymnastics, and ballet. I am excited to have the privilege of providing care to women in our community.
