Family Nurse Practitioner

I have been a nurse since I was 19 years old. nursing was the only career I was ever interested in pursuing.

I started my nursing career as a Licensed practical nurse after attending Kingsport School of Practical Nursing. I discovered I was good at it and loved learning about the human body, how it works, and disease processes. My first job was at Indian Path medical center in Kingsport. while working there I pursued my Associate degree in Nursing at ETSU, then a Bachelors degree in nursing, and then finally a Masters degree so I could become a Family nurse practitioner. I have worked in a variety of positions over the years including oncology, cardiac care, ICU, Woodridge psychiatric hospital, and then finally 11 years ago, I started my career as a Family Nurse Practitioner at State of Franklin Healthcare Walk-In Clinic. I have been in nursing for 41 years. It is a rewarding career with lots of challenges.

I am married with 2 daughters and 7 grandchildren that I adore. My nursing career and my family complete me.
