Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

Family Medicine

Dr. Michael Mabry is an osteopathic family medicine physician and has recently joined Family Physicians of Johnson City. He was born right here in Johnson City, TN and attended East Tennessee State University for his undergraduate education. Afterwards he attended Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, VA for his medical school and returned to complete his residency training at ETSU Family Medicine in Bristol. Michael has always appreciated that the body is a unit composed of mind, body, spiritual, and social health elements and only when those areas are in alignment and treated do we find health. He focuses on evidence based integrative medicine to help the body heal and even reverse disease. He uses his osteopathic training in manual manipulation to help relieve musculoskeletal aches and pains and has a passion for taking a whole person approach when addressing medical issues.

Michael is happily married to his wife Yolanda and has three young daughters. He serves as co founder and Chairman of Hope To Walk, an international organization dedicated to developing low cost prosthetic legs for amputees living in poverty. His other hobbies include playing guitar, tennis, spending as much time as he can outside, and spending time with his friends and family.
