James A. Joslyn, MD is a board-certified primary care physician trained in Internal Medicine. After attending college at Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Joslyn served as an infantry officer in the United States Army for seventeen years, leading troops in combat in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan). Upon leaving active duty, he attended medical school at the Quillen College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Yale. Dr. Joslyn is married with four children. He was drawn to practice in the Johnson City area by the wonderful people and beautiful countryside. When not serving the people of East Tennessee, he enjoys reading, hiking, and golfing.
