Dr. Claes Svendsen is a board certified physician with over 19 years of experience. The Norwegian native attended Andrews University before receiving his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Svendsen is known for taking great care of his patients. He is also a gifted administrator. He served as Chief of Staff at Takoma Regional Hospital and as Chief Medical Officer with Takoma, Wellmont, and Ballad Health, before joining SoFHA. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.

Outside of work, Dr. Svendsen enjoys spending time with his wife and children, going on mission trips and actively working in his church. He is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys spending his free time skiing, hiking, biking and canoeing.
