Originally from Michigan, Dr. Barnabas Hines completed his medical degree at the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Blacksburg, Virginia, and his residency at ETSU Family Physicians of Bristol. He is board-certified in family medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Christian Medical and Dental Association, and American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. Having spent part of his childhood in the Central African Republic where his parents were medical missionaries, Hines enjoys interacting with and learning about people from all walks of life. He is married with three daughters and one son and enjoys spending time on family outings – in addition to hiking, recreational shooting, woodworking, exercising and being active with his local church.
