Dr. Farmer has lived in the beautiful hills of East Tennessee since he was 7 years old. For his undergraduate education, he studied at Milligan College where he majored in Fine Arts and Humanities. After college, he transitioned to a career in medicine, studying at ETSU James H. Quillen College of Medicine. It was during medical school that he developed his love of pediatrics, and he continued with ETSU for his pediatrics residency.

Dr. Farmer is happily married and has two small children, a boy and a girl. He and his wife are active at Hopwood Memorial Christian Church. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family and avidly rooting for Duke Basketball.
