Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

Family Medicine

Aaron Doran, DO was born in Kingsport and grew up in Blountville.  He attended East Tennessee State University where he received his undergraduate degree in Biology.  During college, Dr. Doran first experienced taking care of patients working as a CNA at Johnson City Medical Center.  After completing his Bachelor’s Degree, he spent four years working as a Lab Technician at Eastman while studying Chemistry at ETSU.  He went on to attend medical school at Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine.  During his medical school clerkships, he discovered a passion for outpatient primary care.  Although he enjoyed working in the hospital, he found it even more rewarding to work on preventing hospitalizations by providing high-quality primary care and empowering patients to improve their health and well-being.  Dr. Doran returned to ETSU for his residency training in Family Medicine with the goal of remaining in East Tennessee as a primary care physician.  His special interests include preventative medicine, chronic disease management, OMT, and lifestyle and wellness improvement.  Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children.  They enjoy participating in soccer, baseball, gymnastics, and can often be found hiking on Roan Mountain or fishing at Warriors Path or Wilbur Dam.
