CT (computed tomography) scans use X-rays and computers to create detailed images of the inside of the body, including of organs, bones, and muscles, and blood vessels (in the case of a CTA or computed tomography angiogram). We recommend drinking extra water to allow for easier IV access. You will need to pick up oral contrast day(s) prior to your appointment.
