Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

OB/GYN

I was born in Johnson City and proudly raised in the Tri-Cities, attending High School at Sullivan Central, and later completing my Undergraduate degree at ETSU. This was also when I married my beautiful High School sweetheart, Emily. I completed my Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine on the Virginia Tech campus at VCOM, and spent my clinical years in the Tri-Cities. Afterwards, we moved to the Midwest where I completed my Residency at Indiana University, a busy program as the main referral center for the entire state of Indiana. It was there that I developed a passion for managing high-risk pregnancies as well as minimally invasive laparoscopy and vaginal surgery techniques.

There are a handful of moments that we each will remember at the end of our lives, and the birth of our children is one of them. Being a part of that moment in people’s lives is an amazing responsibility and something I felt a connection and passion for from the moment I had the opportunity to deliver and be the first person to touch each of my beautiful daughters. I enjoy the diversity of Women’s Health issues ranging from puberty and contraception to the transition through menopause. I also value the amazing relationship and trust that patients develop with their Gynecologist over their lifetime. I am further impassioned to serve the incredible women of our region, who I grew up knowing as strong independent women that sacrifice so much in their lives for others.

My additional interests outside work include golfing, spending time with family, attending church, and traveling. We are so happy to be returning to our home town and raise our children in the best region in the country, as well as serve the community that helped mold me into the physician I am today.
