Sergio Diaz, MD is a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician with the SOFHA Hospitalist team.  Dr. Diaz was born in Guatemala and completed all of his undergraduate and medical school education in Guatemala.  He came to the ETSU Internal Medicine Residency to complete his US residency eventually becoming Chief Resident his final year.  He has spent his hospitalist career at various hospitals in the Tri-Cities area and has served on the Medical Executive Committee and the Credentials and Quality Committees at the hospitals where he worked.  He loves teaching and especially enjoys teaching ETSU students. He and his wife, Ana, who is also a physician, are both kept busy raising their family.
