Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

Family Medicine

Dr. Gilbert-Green was born and raised in Virginia. Her mother was a Nurse Practitioner who often took her along to the hospital. She loved the hospital environment and envisioned becoming a physician one day. She attended the University of Virginia’s College at Wise receiving a BS in Biology with a minor in Psychology. She then went on to medical school at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. During her medical student rotations, she enjoyed each opportunity to provide patient care. This love of diversity, and patients of all ages and illnesses, led her to a Family Medicine residency in East Tennessee. After completing her post-graduate training at ETSU Family Physicians of Kingsport, she joined the program as faculty where she spent eight years practicing inpatient and outpatient medicine, taught classes for Quillen College of Medicine, and provided low risk prenatal care and vaginal deliveries. Although Dr. Gilbert-Green welcomes patients of all ages and backgrounds, she has a special interest in Women’s Health and contraception. She is a board-certified, osteopathically trained physician who performs Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She also loves exercising, reading and spending time in beautiful East Tennessee.
