A Johnson City native, Jorge Diaz, MD attended Science Hill High School and pursued his undergraduate studies at East Tennessee State University (ETSU). He earned his medical degree from Universidad de Iberoamerica in Costa Rica before returning to ETSU for a residency in internal medicine followed by a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine.

Dr. Diaz possesses a wealth of experience in general and specialized medicine, including advanced skills in diagnosing and treating complex pulmonary conditions. His clinical expertise and dedication to patient care are invaluable assets to the pulmonary team.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Diaz enjoys spending time with his wife and two young boys. The family loves outdoor activities such as mountain biking, cycling, climbing, and soccer. Dr. Diaz is honored to give back to the community that helped shape him and is eager to contribute to the SOFHA Pulmonology mission of improving respiratory health in the communities it serves.
