Jared Hess, DO, a board-certified Family Physician, is originally from Southwest Virginia. He attended Bluefield College for his undergraduate degree and worked as a radiology technologist for several years before going back to medical school. He went to Medical School at Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) in Blacksburg, VA followed by residency training through East Tennessee State University at Bristol Regional Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. Since graduating residency, Dr. Hess has greater than 10 years of experience including both urgent care and office-based primary care in Bristol, TN. He has served as an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Family Medicine with VCOM and has also served as the medical director for several mission trips serving Peru. His medical interests include adult medicine, chronic disease management, metabolic syndrome/diabetes, and preventative medicine/lifestyle modifications. He is happily married with 3 children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, being involved in his children’s sports, playing guitar, hunting, shooting, and hiking. He is also a huge fan of Atlanta Braves baseball since childhood.
