I grew up in Greeneville, Tennessee, and went to college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After college, I decided to follow in my father’s footsteps and chose to pursue a career in medicine. I returned home to East Tennessee and attended medical school at East Tennessee State University. Following medical school, I moved to Richmond, VA, and completed my residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Virginia Commonwealth University. For the past 4 years, I worked at Virginia Women’s Center in Richmond, Virginia, providing obstetrical and gynecological care to a diverse population of women. Although I loved working in that community, I missed my family and the area that I called home. I am excited to be a part of State of Franklin Healthcare OB/GYN Specialists and to start seeing patients in our community. I have a special interest in low and high-risk obstetrics and complete gynecological care. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, my family, and our dog Beau. We love traveling, cooking, and watching sports (especially the Tar Heels!).
