Dr. Armentrout was born and raised on a family farm just outside of Jonesborough, always dreamed of being a pediatrician. He fulfilled that dream by completing his Bachelor’s degree at East Tennessee State University and attending medical school at Quillen College of Medicine at ETSU. Dr. Armentrout then completed his residency training at ETSU and is board certified with the American Board of Pediatrics. He joined the FirstChoice Pediatrics family in 2017.

Dr. Armentrout is married to his high school sweetheart and has one daughter and two handsome little boys. The Armentrouts are active members of their local church. In his leisure time, Dr. Armentrout enjoys all types of sports but especially playing golf and church-league softball.
