A native of Warren, Ohio, Dr. Proffitt joined the FCIM family in 2005. After graduating from the University of South Alabama, she attended medical school at her alma mater where she also completed her residency training. She is a member of the American College of Physicians as well as the Society of General Internal Medicine. The board certified physician has held numerous teaching and academic appointments including Assistant Professor at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile.
