Melissa Hamilton is an ANCC Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. A native of Hawkins County, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Tennessee State University, a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from King University, and a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Tusculum University.

Melissa brings a diverse background in healthcare with experience in leadership, emergency care, trauma, injury prevention, community outreach, and disaster management. She also spent two years serving with Indian Health Services on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Lame Deer, Montana, where she provided care to an underserved population while gaining valuable clinical and cultural experience.

Throughout her career, Melissa has been actively involved in numerous community and statewide injury prevention initiatives, serving on several committees dedicated to improving the health and safety of the communities they serve. Her commitment to patient care and community service has earned her several honors, including recognition as a Healthcare Hero, the Tennessee Hospital Association Nurse Distinction Award, and the Swanson Pendleton Award from the Kingsport Area Safety Council.

Melissa believes exceptional healthcare begins with listening. She is passionate about providing patient-centered care by partnering with patients, encouraging shared decision-making, and empowering individuals through education to help them achieve their best possible health. She considers caring for others to be both a privilege and a calling.

Outside of the office, Melissa enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, kayaking, camping, fishing, gardening, walking on the beach, and making memories with her husband and son.
