Kevin Combs, D.O.

Dr. Kevin Combs is a board-certified osteopathic physician specializing in hospital medicine. As a Hospitalist, he is dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to hospitalized patients, managing complex medical conditions, and coordinating treatment plans to ensure safe and effective transitions of care.

Originally from Johnson City, Tennessee, and raised in Knoxville, Dr. Combs earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He received his medical degree from the University of Pikeville – Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Kentucky. He completed his residency training at Norton Community Hospital in Norton, Virginia, where he developed a strong foundation in inpatient medicine and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Dr. Combs’ osteopathic training reinforces his whole-person approach to patient care, integrating clinical excellence with attentiveness to each patient’s overall well-being. In the hospital setting, he works closely with specialists, nursing staff, and care teams to optimize outcomes and support patients and their families during critical times.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Combs volunteers with the Sons of the American Revolution and enjoys practicing Taekwondo. He is also an avid Star Wars enthusiast.
