Dr. Cameron Shawver graduated Summa Cum Laude from our very own East Tennessee State University with a Double Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and Chemistry. He obtained his osteopathic medical degree from the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine at Lincoln Memorial University. Dr. Shawver then entered active-duty service as an officer in the United States Air Force, during which time he completed his internship and residency at Nellis Air Force Base in Family Medicine. He went on to be the first Air Force Family Medicine physician to complete an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.

He is Double Board Certified in Family Medicine and Pain Medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine. He has served as the Associate Program Director for the largest Pain Medicine fellowship in the Department of Defense and was instrumental in training the newest generation of military pain medicine physicians.

Additionally, he is fully trained in both Medical Acupuncture and Osteopathic Manipulation (OMT) as well as additional training in functional medicine. Dr. Shawver utilizes a multi-modal and whole person approach to pain management. This multi-modal approach includes everything from the most conservative therapies to the absolute pinnacle of high-tech procedures. Dr. Shawver has been married to his wife for 14 years and they have 3 beautiful daughters together. They enjoy going on family hikes, spending time with their friends and traveling to make more memories together. He is family man at heart and is grateful to be near his parents and his wife’s parents again, especially while the girls are young, so they can enjoy making memories with their grandparents.
