Hospitalist

Alexandra Bowling, DO, is a board-certified Family Medicine physician practicing as a hospitalist. A native of Johnson City, Tennessee, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Business from East Tennessee State University. She went on to receive her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Bowling completed her residency training at Abingdon Family Medicine Residency Program, where she gained comprehensive training in full-spectrum family medicine. She is board-certified in Family Medicine, providing attentive, evidence-based care to hospitalized patients. She is committed to coordinating care, supporting patients and families during hospital stays, and ensuring smooth transitions from hospital to home.
Outside of work, Dr. Bowling is actively involved in her community. She volunteers as a teacher assistant, PTA member, and supports organizations such as Girls on the Run and Girl Scouts of the USA. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending quality time with her husband and daughters.
