Richard K. Panek, ACMPE
Chief Executive Officer
Richard Panek is the CEO of State of Franklin Healthcare Associates, a physician owned and operated group practice of 159 providers and over 700 team members. SoFHA represents twelve primary care practices with a population of more than 112,000 unique patients who generate approximately 400,000 patient visits each year. Richard began his career with SoFHA in 1997 as the CEO of UniPhy Health Care, Inc., and Administrator of State of Franklin Healthcare Associates, PLLC. In 2008, Richard was named the CEO/Administrator of SoFHA independent of Symbion (UniPhy). He graduated from State University of New York, Cortland, New York in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science. He received a Masters of Health Services Administration from George Washington University in 1983, and certification as a Certified Medical Practice Executive by the American College of Medicine Practice Executives in 1999.
Dan Bragg, CPA, CMPE
Chief Financial Officer (Interim COO)
Dan Bragg is the Chief Financial Officer for State of Franklin Healthcare Associates. He is a lifelong resident of Johnson City and has worked in healthcare administration locally for almost 20 years. Dan is responsible for managing financial operations for the organization; including, Accounting, Information Technology, Central Billing, Supply Chain, Physician Recruitment, Business Development and Marketing. Dan is a Certified Public Accountant; graduating from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1994. He was recognized as a Certified Medical Practice Executive by the American College of Medical Practice Executives in 2013.
Amanda Clear, MHA
Chief of Payer Relations and Value Contracting
Amanda Clear is the Chief of Payer Relations and Value Contracting for State of Franklin Healthcare Associates. She has over 25 years of healthcare experience locally. She began her career with State of Franklin Healthcare Associates in 2003 as Director of Business Services. In this role, she was in charge of the revenue cycle management and payer contracting. As Chief of Payer Relations and Value Contracting, Amanda continues her responsibility for payer contracting and assumed accountability for strategic development and administrative support of team-based care of patients with the Quality Improvement Team supporting over 60,000 patients. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Milligan College, a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Walden University. She is also a Certified Professional Coder. Amanda is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Academy of Professional Coders.
