Doctor of Physical Therapist

I was born and raised in Bristol, VA. I graduated from ETSU in 2015 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, and later graduated with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2018. During my second year of PT school I completed a rotation in orthopedics with an emphasis in pelvic floor therapy. I loved the patient population and quickly realized I wanted to purse a career in women’s health. A few weeks before graduation, I was honored to accept a full time position with State of Franklin OB/GYN Specialists and become a part of this amazing community!

I have successfully completed the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Floor Course 1 and am continuing my specialization with the Herman and Wallace Pelvic floor series as well as additional specialized courses in women’s health manual techniques. Because of my clinical background in orthopedics and also my personal experiences in and out of physical therapy, I strongly believe in utilizing manual therapy techniques as the basis of treatment to address musculoskeletal impairments, while also incorporating exercise and education. I have a strong sense of empathy and compassion for patients with pain conditions and dysfunctions who are in need of physical healing. I believe in individualized treatment plans, one-on-one conversation each treatment, and I strive to commit to all patients’ goals and values!

I have a special interest in women’s health including lumbar spine pathologies, pelvic pain, pregnancy and post-partum conditions, and postpartum fitness. In my spare time I enjoy seeking out local innovations, spending time with family and friends, and of course my adorable dog!
