BACK TO PROVIDERS Courtney Hodshon, M.D., F.A.C.O.G. Medical Doctor, OB/GYN OB/GYN I was born and raised In Western North Carolina In a small town less than one hour away from Johnson City. I attended college at Duke University and earned a master’s degree from UNC Chapel Hill before returning to the mountains to attend Quillen College of Medicine at ETSU. I completed by residency training at MAHEC In Asheville, NC and joined State of Franklin OB/GYN Specialists In the summer of 2009. I am board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. My practice covers women from the teenage years through menopause. In obstetrics, I see patients from infertility through their prenatal care to their deliveries. I offer both medical and surgical gynecology; I specialize In minimally Invasive surgery utilizing laparoscopic and robotic approaches for hysterectomy and prolapse repair. I also perform in office procedures such as endometrial ablations and tubal sterilization. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two sons. We love the outdoors and go hiking and camping in the beautiful mountains In this area whenever we can. If I have to be inside, I love to cook, read and just relax with my family. We are happy to be settled here in Northeast Tennessee, and I look forward to the opportunity to care for the women of this region.
