Family Medicine

Amanda Lingerfelt, DO is a board-certified physician in Family Medicine. She attended ETSU for her undergraduate degree before attending Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, SC for her medical training. She was blessed with the opportunity to return home to East Tennessee to complete her Family Medicine residency training at ETSU Family Physicians of Kingsport. She served as Chief Resident during her final year of residency before graduating and joining the SoFHA Team. Her medical interests include preventative medicine, women’s health and chronic disease management.  Being from the small, yet beautiful town of Unicoi County, she knew her calling was to stay in East Tennessee and serve the community near and dear to her heart.

Dr. Lingerfelt and her husband both grew up in Unicoi County and have now settled down roots there to be close to family. Since starting with SoFHA, Dr. Lingerfelt and her husband have welcomed their first son, who has brought so much joy to their family! They also have two Labrador retrievers, Bella and Kimbo, to round out their family of five. In their spare time, they enjoy hiking in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains as well as traveling throughout the U.S. and abroad. In Dr. Lingerfelt’s spare time, she enjoys reading, attending or participating in various sporting events, and cooking.
